← Why Enterlumix The founder story

Built from the everyday challenges of online business.

Sultan Mahmod’s journey from a small online food business to building Enterlumix began without formal coding or software-engineering education. By learning through real challenges, persistence and today’s AI tools, he began creating a modern commerce platform—an inspiring reminder that a conventional technical background is not the only path to building something meaningful.

Sultan Mahmod · Founder and owner

From learning to sell online to building a platform

Sultan Mahmod is Enterlumix’s founder and owner. He was born in Manda, Naogaon, Bangladesh. He did not begin with formal coding or software-engineering education. He began with curiosity, persistence and real problems to solve—and learned technology step by step while building his business. His story is a reminder that in today’s world, a conventional technical background is not the only way to start creating something useful.

Before starting Enterlumix, Sultan served as a soldier in the Bangladesh Army for six years. He says he left the service in January 2024 because of unexpected family circumstances and health problems. After leaving, he describes feeling uncertain about what to do next while carrying family expenses and the costs of raising a young child.

Sultan began researching online business and learned by trial and error how to set up a Facebook page, promote posts and market products. In June 2024, with almost no cash to invest, he says he sold a small piece of land—about two decimals that his grandmother had given him—and used roughly BDT 20,000 from the sale to buy food products and start selling online.

The first months were difficult. Sultan recalls spending about BDT 15,000 of that initial amount before he understood how to market effectively, with almost no sales. In late September 2024, he says one product suddenly began attracting customers. A small promotion of around US$1 brought roughly seven or eight sales, and the business began making money quickly. The early momentum gave him the confidence to rent an office and bring in staff.

As the online operation expanded, Sultan says the team grew to more than 40 people by around April 2025. The fast growth brought new operational problems: he says some employees misused dashboard access to take orders and view sales information, leading to disputes and staffing changes. This is his account of the experience; no individual employee is named or accused here.

That experience changed the question Sultan wanted to solve. He wanted merchants to have clearer role permissions, store-scoped records and better control over who could see orders and reports. He also imagined bringing online attendance, salary and business records together with POS and ERP workflows, an AI assistant, order tracking and fake-order detection. Enterlumix now serves merchants on its live platform; the public product guides distinguish available services, integrations that require setup and future roadmap capabilities.

Sultan began learning Laravel and building Enterlumix with help from Gemini, ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot. He is grateful to these AI tools and their creators for helping him learn, experiment and keep moving forward. The project grew from an effort to address his own online-business challenges into a multi-tenant commerce platform he hopes can help other merchants avoid some of the same struggles.

Enterlumix brings together online-store and merchant workflows, storefront and landing-page design, ERP tools, supplier connections, Guru AI, partner referrals, and developer app and theme workspaces. The ambition is to offer practical digital-business tools to people building online businesses, whether they are exploring a full-time venture or an additional source of income. Earnings, customer growth and business outcomes are never guaranteed.

The partner programme offers 30% of eligible, verified paid subscription invoices under its published rules, with manual payouts. Developers and designers can submit apps and themes subject to platform review and their own commercial terms. Supplier-connected dropshipping still involves provider conditions and possible product, advertising, shipping or fulfilment costs; it is not automatically a zero-investment business.

The platform is designed to scope merchant information to authorized workspaces, but this story is not an independent security audit or a guarantee of zero risk. AI answers and reports can be wrong and should be checked. The platform and Guru AI are live; individual supplier, messaging, payment and domain connections can require their own setup. Roadmap ideas are not service promises. Product creation, draft saving and publishing retain their stated review and approval steps.

Privacy was central to Sultan’s original motivation: he wanted each merchant’s orders, reports and business records separated from other stores and visible only through authorized accounts and roles, rather than casually exposed through a shared dashboard. Enterlumix uses tenant-scoped records and permission checks toward that goal. This describes the intended access model, not a claim that no platform operator could ever access data or that an independent security audit has certified it.

The merchant opportunity extends beyond the store itself. Under the published partner programme, a referral can earn 30% of eligible, verified, paid Enterlumix subscription invoices, including qualifying renewals; payouts are manual, and unpaid, failed, free or unverified invoices do not qualify. It is a referral opportunity, not guaranteed income.

For supplier-connected dropshipping, a merchant connects an eligible supplier account, reviews supported products and variants, and imports selected products as drafts before deciding what to publish. Stock, shipping destinations, delivery, product costs, advertising costs and fulfilment remain subject to the supplier and merchant. A connection does not automatically buy stock or make the business cost-free.

For a custom domain, merchants can connect a domain they already own by completing ownership checks, DNS records and the required routing and HTTPS setup. Enterlumix’s current guide does not offer domain purchasing or registrar transfers; a domain purchase, where available, is handled separately through a registrar or provider.

Developers can create app listings and submit them for platform review; designers can submit theme packages with a demo for review. Sultan describes his intended ecosystem as letting independent creators set their own commercial terms and receive payment directly from merchants, without Enterlumix taking a share of those creator-to-merchant payments. Actual prices, payment handling, fees and obligations depend on each published listing and agreement; approval and income are not guaranteed.

The heart of Sultan’s journey is simple: a person does not need to start as a professional programmer to begin learning and building. With a clear purpose, steady effort and responsible use of modern tools, people from many backgrounds can take meaningful steps into technology. Enterlumix is his continuing effort to turn that belief—and lessons from online business—into practical tools for others.
